It's officially been 1 month.
It's amazing the things one can find in order to keep busy at home. In between lots of rest, this woman kept busy. Time seemed to fly by```
I have successfully finished my first round of a new trial drug. Although, maintenance PARP inhibitors tend to not be used after failed treatments, oncology. Research through drug trials will help determine if the same classification of PARP inhibitors may possibly help slow the growth of existing tumors. This could be very promising!
I will admit, there were days... when I was ready to throw in the towel. I held onto my faith and great online support from all of you beautiful souls. Those video chats helped me to keep my mind off of how horrible I was feeling. My not-so-great days. As my therapist so bluntly put it, "We are working to get by on a daily basis. Small goals first." I made two attempts to just get out of the house, take my car down to the car wash. However, I was met with defeat.
8.22.2021... day 30.
Today is a new day with one goal in mind. An early morning cup of coffee with a few new friends. My first official day to be FREE.
