Even while not feeling well. Still try to incorporate the things that make you happy. On your good days, enjoy them to the best of your ability!
Cancer will make you fight like never before... doing everything to help get you through the toughest of days. Yet, I remember when the good days...lasted more than 24 or even 48-hours.
Cancer pain is the toughest pain to treat. That constant pain goes absolutely nowhere, but worse. I used my time over the years, during my good days, to create memories. Even if you realize some times it means pushing yourself. For me, it was always worth embracing those good, positive moments.
The path of progression with cancer is as real as it gets. However, no one wants to be in pain either. The crazy sleep or lack of. Not being able to eat the things that once you used to crave. It really puts life into perspective. As well being aware of who is or isn't around you. THAT is MOST IMPORTANT.
Life truly goes by in an instant! What really matters most is all that happiness you created for yourself and your own family of your choosing. It will help you in remembering how hard you fought.. for so long. Amen.

In order to know how to address your parents who want to continue watching, caring for their grandchild, grandchildren can be a tricky task. A challenge or sometimes a great feat! Especially when met with feelings of hurt by the grandparent, grandparents. All because it's time for the child or children to come home.
You must set clear boundaries by first expressing your wants, needs and most importantly, your feelings when it comes to your child or children. You must also express to the grandparents that a child or children's stay is not a permanent one.
You should as well address their feelings and insecurities, and work on a plan for future visits that satisfies everyone. 
Many adults, don't do well when it comes to aging. It's far better to blend in with the younger counterparts... than to be the older, odd ones out.
Over-stepping boundaries as a grandparent or grandparents, can end up causing It's own host of family problems.
Dysfunction.

Having that taken away by both of you is a feeling that honestly... never leaves you. There will always be triggers, and that is your right, and time to feel. The same holiday decorations and trees that every year... I looked forward to decorating. Are now still sitting in boxes, because that same feeling is no longer.

I remember almost 2 decades ago.. when my birth parents would stop by during the first of autumn with a huge pot of mums.
Those were the days, last of days... I remember of normalcy. Finding these during the week brought back those days.
If you don't understand, what I am... or had went through. Then it's easy, don't judge. I have every right to feel every emotion from going on 17 years of blank memories. Happy memories.
