That little person is watching and modeling you the entire time, so it’s important that you get as many of your personal inadequacies fixed before you bring them into the world.
If you/they're already here, get to work on sorting yourself out.
Everything you do as a parent matters, and the reality is that your parenting can be a force for good, or a force for evil in the world.
It’s not about raising your kid to be a doctor or astronaut or billionaire.

A great article sent to me from my therapist. I highly suggest reading for anyone dealing with a difficult parent/parents. 
Remember... sometimes and many times, your struggles have far more meaning. When you take time to seek therapy... is when you find answers. You can't blame yourself all the time, so please don't.
Take time to heal and find the love, unconditional support you so desperately have been longing for❤️‍🩹

Signs You’re Not Ready to be a Parent
So you don’t screw up someone else’s life..
The bar has been set so low to be a parent that so long as you don’t do anything that kills your kids, hey, we’re not gonna judge you, because that’s mean.
Well, I’m calling bullshit.
I can and will judge you as a parent, because your choices as a parent have consequences, both for your kids and for all the people your kids (who grow up to be adults) will come into contact with over the course of their life.
That includes marriage, lifetime partner/s.
Here is a list of signs that, in my opinion and many in the field of psychology/trauma therapy, show you aren’t ready to be a parent.
You should either fix them before you have kids or, if you’re already a parent, get on top of them and sort yourself out so you don’t bring damaged people into the world. Or continue damaging those kids, who are now adults.

Chronic Illness Changes The ENTIRE Human Body... People Must Understand That Fact 🎯❣️

 
I'm talking about people who were, who they were...
BEFORE
Chronic illness.
People who ask you... what happened to you? Who you used to be. That kind of comment(s).
These are NOT people who bare any kind of emotional support, or understanding.
I am not referencing bad people. Who did bad things in the past. 
I am talking about people who live with and suffer from chronic illness... and the comments or lack of emotional support where you need it. 
However...
You instead get ridiculed, insulted or made out to be nothing but a mere burden to others. Those "others" lack emotion and heart. So advice by experience? 
"Don't mind those kind of people."
No matter what diagnosis... in general. The body changes with time. That is a fact. That is part of the process with chronic illness. 
👆This is just plain common sense.. that doesn't grow on trees.
