I had to unexpectedly...
Make some big decisions and last second changes in my life.
This has quickly occurred over the past few weeks.
Changes with my health and other important matters.
At this point of my journey... it's important to reflect on what got me through the tough times. Especially, over the course of the past several years.
My hospital specialists, are also at major crossroads. They have become very limited, when it comes to my palliative, comfort care. Unfortunately, nothing has been working.
The new medications, called in early last week are on such a high tier level now. How both insurance policies view certain medications, with being in an At-Home setting. The past several days, have been nothing but more paperwork requests for my specialists. Great attempts at jumping through insurance hurdles. All in order to get new medications covered for me. So I am... comfortable. In the meantime, my weight continues to decline and so does my overall internal health.
When things gain so much momentum... at such a quick rate. You...Yourself, begin to scramble getting things together. Whatever you need to make sure all of your wishes, directives are in order.
My case as of late last week, Friday, has made it back to it’s original hands. I like to think of it, as my final victory lap. I made it past my original prognosis. Now, here I stand with things progressing so rapidly... that my palliative care team have run out of options.
I am not sure, if this now puts me in line, for hospice At-Home care. However, whatever happens... happens.
I am, so very proud of myself. How hard I have fought the battle. While fighting as well those along the way. I never gave up. I never caved in...
I remained determined.
That within itself, speaks volumes about the human spirit.
❤️Remember all the various hearts, over the past several months? Shapes of hearts randomly popping up in the strangest places and locations. I figured out the meaning. All along, the answer was staring right at me.
I was carrying them with me, the entire time. Wearing them close to my own heart...throughout my entire journey.
